Lukashenka said that Khrenin will pass standards in May
Alexander Lukashenka personally checked the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. As part of a snap inspection, he visited the 227‑th combined arms training ground in the Borisov district, where he promised that Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin would pass standards in May-June.
«We will test you; we won't bother you this frosty winter, though such a plan existed,— Lukashenka said. — But sometime in May-June, you will perform all the standards. And your General Staff generals will also run. Volfovich [State Secretary of the Security Council — NN] will be ahead, and you will follow. No one will crazily chase you there, but the physical fitness of generals must be good. Well, what, I'm tumbling around, practicing on the ice, and you're not? Everyone should be prepared.»
