Holy Fire descended in Jerusalem
On Great Saturday, on the eve of Orthodox Easter, the descent of the Holy Fire took place in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem — a traditional event that believers consider a miracle.

The Fire appears in the Edicule — a small chapel in the center of the church, where, according to Christian tradition, the burial place of Jesus Christ is located. It symbolizes the light of the Resurrection and is considered one of the main shrines of the Christian world.
According to custom, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem enters the Edicule with unlit candles and, after prayer, emerges with the fire, which is then passed on to the present believers.
Traditionally, a particle of the Holy Fire will be delivered to Belarus as well. Believers will be able to receive it during Easter services in churches throughout the country.
