As of 18:30 local time (19:30 Minsk time), voter turnout in the elections reached a record high in the country's history, exceeding 77%. These figures are provided by the National Election Office of Hungary.

These elections are called fateful for Europe. The main intrigue is whether Viktor Orbán's "Fidesz" will retain power. Independent sociologists predict a victory for the opposition movement "Tisza".

The final election results will be known on April 18. Hungary has a rather complex vote counting system, so the winner may not be clear on the first day.
