The wooden house in Rahačoŭ, where the classic of Belarusian literature Uladzimir Karatkevich used to visit, stands abandoned . The authorities promised a museum there seven years ago. Yulia, a Belarusian woman who recently visited, was shocked by the house's neglect. But the girl certainly did not expect that after this post, she would fall under the combine harvester of state propaganda.

Yulia's post was viewed more than half a million times, with 1.5 thousand comments, most of them outraged.

To answer them all, Irina Palubets was appointed, the former editor-in-chief of the Buda-Kashalyova district newspaper "Avangard," and now a correspondent for the regional state newspaper "Homyel Truth," recipient of the "Golden Pen" and "Golden Litera" awards.

Palubets, as an experienced propagandist, started with the main point. "What lies behind the scandal surrounding the house in Rahačoŭ, where Karatkevich loved to visit" — this is how she titled her article. Allegedly, a "wave was raised" here — "there is every reason to believe that it was not launched accidentally."

"Let's break down in detail who needs this and why," she promises to investigate.

"At first glance, this is an ordinary story about preserving cultural heritage, but something suggests: before us is a planned campaign with political undertones," she concluded.

Palubets states that the resonant post appeared in a "mommy blog" on Instagram — "a not entirely typical post for such an audience," she hints.
