Ajax academy graduate moved to ML Vitebsk

The Belarusian football champion signed a contract with 24-year-old Dutch midfielder Denilho Cleonise, football.by reports .

The player's last club was "Waalwijk" from the second division of the Dutch championship. For them, the player played 98 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists, including 32 appearances last season, where he scored 7 goals and made 8 assists.

Cleonise played for the youth teams of "Ajax" and "AZ Alkmaar".

Cleonise also has experience playing in the top division of the Netherlands for "Twente" and the same "Waalwijk" (89 matches, 3 goals and 7 assists), as well as in the Italian Serie A for "Genoa", where he played 5 matches and also featured for their youth team.

Next week, "ML Vitebsk" will start in the Champions League qualification.

Their opponent in the first round will be Romanian "Universitatea" from Craiova. The match will take place on July 8 on neutral ground in Hungary, and the return leg on July 15 in Romania.

If "ML Vitebsk" defeats "Universitatea", they will play against the winner of the pair "Borac" (Bosnia) — "Levski" (Bulgaria) in the second round. If they lose to the Romanians, they will continue their fight in the Conference League and play against the loser of the pair "Kairat" (Kazakhstan) — "Sutjeska" (Montenegro).
