The match was intense. In the first half, the Norwegians had more initiative, and in the 39th minute, Antonio Nusa opened the scoring with a precise shot on goal.
After the break, Ivory Coast became more active and equalized in the 74th minute thanks to Amad Diallo, who skillfully dealt with the defense in the penalty area.
However, the ending still belonged to Norway. In the 86th minute, Erling Haaland scored the winning goal, although the episode looked a bit clumsy: he didn't hit the ball perfectly at all, but it still ended up in the net. This goal was the Norwegian's fifth in the tournament.
In added time, Ivory Coast had a chance to equalize, but Norway's goalkeeper made a crucial save after a powerful free-kick shot.
Result: 2:1 — and Norway advances to the 1/8 finals, where they will meet Brazil on July 5.
