Deividas Matulionis confirmed that such a conversation indeed took place. However, he emphasized that no secret or confidential information was disclosed during the discussion.

According to him, the call was organized at a high level and likely used artificial intelligence technologies to mimic the voice of the Ukrainian official.

During the conversation, the advisor to Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda noted that Lithuania continues to support Ukraine, does not hold it responsible for drone incursions, and believes that Russia could use such incidents for provocations against the Baltic countries. He also reported on the intention to strengthen the air defense system and engage Ukrainian specialists with experience in countering drones.

Deividas Matulionis also noted that after the conversation, the Lithuanian side contacted their Ukrainian counterparts to verify the information together.
