Sabalenka Confidently Reaches Wimbledon 1/8 Finals
In the third-round match, the Belarusian tennis player defeated Latvia's Alena Ostapenko in two sets — 6:4, 6:4.

Sabalenka took the initiative from the start of the match and controlled the game, not allowing her opponent to turn the situation around. The match lasted about an hour and a half.
In the fight for a place in the quarterfinals, Sabalenka will meet Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, who ranks 14th in the world.
On her way to the 1/8 finals, the Belarusian previously defeated Serbian Teodora Kostovic and American McCartney Kessler.
Another representative of Belarus, Iryna Shymanovich, who qualified for the main draw, ended her performance in the first round, losing to Swiss Viktorija Golubic.
This year's Wimbledon runs from June 29 to July 11. The total prize fund of the tournament is 62.4 million pounds sterling, and the winners in the singles categories will receive 3.6 million pounds each.
