Masters from the Mogilev region presented their vision of the mythological image at the festival, writes BelTA.

One of the festival's locations this year is named "Under the Cover of Kupala Berehynia". This mythological image embodies the feminine principle, protection, and the magical power of nature. It symbolizes connection with the water element and herbs, protecting people from evil forces.

Berehynia is identified with Dana - the mistress of waters, who was revered as a bright and benevolent goddess who gives life to all living things.

Each district of the Mogilev region presented its Berehynia costume and accessories today.

"At the festival, we always want to surprise guests even more, to show them our cultural heritage," said Maxim Mamchenko, head of the "District House of Crafts" branch in Khotimsk. "The symbol of 'Kupalle' is Berehynia. And we tried to show all our cultural brands. Three masters worked on creating the costume. The basis is weaving and embroidery. The costume was made light and bright. Because, when we thought about who Berehynia is, we imagined something light, airy. And we also have a wonderful model - a true example of a Belarusian woman. The costume is presented by our fellow countrywoman, a mother of four wonderful daughters."
