An oil refinery in Syzran (Samara Oblast, Russia) caught fire on July 12 after a drone attack.
This is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Samara region, part of Rosneft. Annually, the plant processes 7 to 8.5 million tons of oil. It produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and bitumen.
It is likely that the AVT-5 unit, which provides up to 30% of the plant's primary refining capacity, was damaged, notes the Telegram channel Dnipro Osint.
The Syzran oil refinery has been attacked multiple times during the war.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also reported that Ukrainians struck 10 Russian tankers and 4 ferries in the Azov Sea overnight.
