Citroen assembly launched near Minsk. Models and prices revealed
French brand cars will be assembled at the «Unison» plant in Abchak.
French with a Chinese accent
Three models are being assembled at the plant near Minsk, and all of them are crossovers.
The most affordable "Frenchman" of Belarusian assembly is the Citroen C3-XR. Prices for the compact crossover start from 75,000 rubles, which is about $26,600 at the current exchange rate.
It should be understood that the Citroen C3-XR is not the same as the Citroën C3 sold in Europe. The Citroen C3-XR is a creation of the Franco-Chinese joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen.

Therefore, such a model cannot be found in the European Union. Before Belarus, it was assembled only in China and Iran.
New old Citroen
Next in size and expensiveness is the Citroen C5 Aircross. Prices for it start from 95,000 rubles, or about $33,700.
And this model already has much more in common with a real Citroen, as it is the same Citroen C5 Aircross as in the European Union. The only important difference is that Belarus has launched the assembly of the previous generation Citroen C5 Aircross.
In Europe, however, the second generation C5 Aircross was released in 2025.

Common model
As for the most expensive model in the Belarusian assembly line — the C5X — the Chinese and European models are identical, as even cars sold in Europe are of Chinese assembly.

Prices for C5X, assembled in Belarus, will start from 96,000 rubles, or about $32,000.
Car assembly in Belarus allows for partial savings on the recycling fee, as well as eligibility for preferential leasing and lending terms.
So far, only 48 Citroen vehicles have been assembled in Belarus and are already on sale. At least for now, only cars with gasoline engines will be assembled in Belarus. All cars are assembled from vehicle kits purchased in China from Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company LTD. Approximately one third of the components in these cars are of European production.
