Kopishche is considered a separate settlement, although it practically merges with Minsk.

The population numbers in Kalodzishchy, Kopishche, Lesny, and Baraŭliany are impressive — all these settlements, located around Minsk, are formally considered rural, yet they are home to more people than many cities in the country.

According to statistics for January 1, 2026, they had:

  1. Village Kopishche — 24,914 (a year ago — 22,270) residents.
  2. Agrotown Kalodzishchy — 23,922 (23,066) residents.
  3. Village Baraŭliany — 21,528 (20,991) residents.
  4. Agrotown Lesny — 20,988 (21,288) residents.

It is interesting that Kopishche, Kalodzishchy, and Baraŭliany are still growing rapidly, while Lesny is already showing a decrease in population.
