On the night of June 27, Ukraine lost a MiG-29 fighter jet during a combat mission in the Poltava region.
As reported by the Air Force of Ukraine, the pilot successfully ejected and contacted the search and rescue team. He was taken to the hospital.
The causes and circumstances are being investigated.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, stated that it destroyed two Ukrainian MiG-29s at the Voznesensk airfield in Mykolaiv region using Geran-4 Siker drones. But there is no evidence of this.
