Lukashenka awarded the mother of propagandist Ihar Tur with the Francysk Skaryna Medal
On June 30, Aliaksandr Lukashenka presented state awards, and among the recipients was Iryna Tur — director of the House of Culture in Lida. She is the mother of one of the key propagandists of the Lukashenka regime, Ihar Tur, and she was honored with the Francysk Skaryna Medal, writes "Hrodzenskaya Prauda" (Grodno Truth).

Iryna Tur hails from a village in Myadzyel district, she graduated from the choreographic department of the cultural and educational college in Minsk (now the Minsk State College of Arts). Afterwards, she worked as an artistic director in rural houses of culture, a director, and then the director of the Lida District Scientific and Methodological Center. She has been heading the House of Culture in Lida for 20 years, and her daughter Volha Kaplun also manages the children's department there.
In a conversation with regional propagandists, she also mentions her famous son, claiming that his "moral values," which the entire country can observe on television, are the result of family upbringing:
"My son was awarded the Francysk Skaryna Medal 5 years before me. And it's clear that it greatly embarrasses him. But, I think, as a father himself, he understands: for every parent, the achievements of their children are more precious than their own awards. The main thing is that he has carried our family traditions into his own family, and the instilled moral values — into his professional activities and relationships with those around him."

Ihar Tur's father, Pyatro Tur, at one time graduated from the civil aviation technical school, and then "held a serious position at a city-forming enterprise." Last year, it was reported that he works as an engineer at the "Lida Electrical Networks" branch.
