Swimming restrictions introduced on some Belarusian beaches
Temporary swimming restrictions have been introduced on a number of beaches in Belarus after water quality checks. This was reported by the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health.

The sanitary-epidemiological service checks water in reservoirs where mass recreation is officially permitted every week. Last week, specialists examined 559 water samples. According to the analysis results, 27 samples did not comply with hygienic standards for sanitary-chemical indicators, and another 19 for microbiological ones.
In connection with this, children's swimming has been temporarily restricted on several beaches in Grodno. Restrictions are in effect at two recreation areas of Lake Yubileynoye (zones № 1 and 2), as well as on beaches on the Neman River in the tracts of Lasosna and Pyshki.
Similar measures have been introduced at the beach of the Rudzeya reservoir near the village of Harodnia, Mogilev district.
In addition, previously introduced restrictions on children's swimming continue to apply on four beaches in Mogilev and Mogilev district. They affect the section of the Dnieper bay in the area of Fatin Street, the city beach on the Dnieper, the beach in the agro-town of Palykavichy, and the beach on the pond in the village of Vilchytsy.
In Shklov, swimming is still completely prohibited for both children and adults on the city beach on the right bank of the Dnieper near the ice arena.
The sanitary-epidemiological service will continue to monitor water quality. Once studies show that it meets hygienic requirements, the introduced restrictions will be lifted.
