Madonna's New Album Tops British Chart
The album Confessions II became Madonna's 13th album to reach number one on the British chart.

Thus, Madonna became the first American singer in history whose albums topped the UK charts across five decades. The first was Like a Virgin, released in 1984, writes the BBC.
Madonna last topped the UK charts in 2012 with the album MDNA.
As reports the British company Official Charts Company, which compiles music charts, the superstar now shares fifth place with Elvis Presley for the number of official albums that have reached the top position.
Confessions II is the 15th studio album by 67-year-old Madonna. Most of the tracks were produced by British musician Stuart Price.
