Obama and Clinton urged Americans to protest against Trump's policies
Former US President Bill Clinton called on Americans to openly oppose the deportation policy of Donald Trump's administration after the death of 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.

According to Clinton, what happened was an alarming signal for the country. "If we give up our freedoms after 250 years, we may never get them back," he said.
Earlier, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle also called for support of the protests. In a joint statement, they emphasized that the wave of peaceful demonstrations in Minneapolis and other US cities is a reminder of civic responsibility, Bild writes.
"This is a timely reminder that ultimately it is up to each and every one of us as citizens whether we are willing to stand up against injustice, defend our fundamental freedoms, and demand accountability from those in power," their appeal states.
Donald Trump, in turn, reacted sharply to the protests. On the social network Truth Social, he published a photo of Pretti's alleged weapon and accused Minnesota authorities of inciting unrest.
