From vegetables and fish to seeds and honey. A spring fair has opened in Minsk

On April 4, a spring fair unfolded near "Chyzhouka-Arena" in Minsk. Capital and regional sellers offer visitors not only a wide range of vegetables, the so-called borscht set, but also fruits, cured meats, bakery products, as well as seedlings and seeds for the garden and vegetable patch, writes "Zvyazda".

Potatoes, various meat products, and apples are most widely represented.

A typical "borscht set" (cabbage + onions + potatoes and beets) will cost a total of 4 to 10 rubles – ingredients are offered on average for 2-3 rubles, though, walking through the rows, one can find it cheaper – for just one ruble. Various local breads are also offered to go with the borscht. On average, ten rubles are asked for a kilogram or half of a large sliced loaf of dark bread.

For dessert, you can stock up on vitamins: apples are in high demand, offered at 4 rubles per kilogram, a more durable version in the form of dried fruits will cost 8 rubles.

Sweet tooths will have to pay the most – honey is offered for 20-35 rubles per kilogram. Early greenhouse or imported strawberries will cost 20 rubles.

A large queue formed in front of the counter with nut sets and dried fruits. The seller offers roasted peanuts at 9 rubles per kilo. A compote mix of dried fruits will cost a little less, only 6 rubles.

Cured meats are offered in the range of 25 to 40 rubles per kilogram, depending on what you choose – lard, sausage, or sirloin.

For fish lovers, sellers are ready to offer it dried and live. For example, live carp is offered for around 6.95 – 7.50 rubles, depending on the size. The cheapest option is live silver carp – for just 6.07 rubles.

Eggs are bought in bulk, 2-3 packs. A dozen are sold for 2-4 rubles, depending on the category.

Gardeners will be delighted by a large selection of seedlings and flower young plants. Here, the leading offers are currants, blueberries, and classic garden violets. Onion sets are sold for 10-12 rubles.

Such a spring fair is taking place in the capital for the first time after winter. Purchases can be made on weekends in April from 8 AM to 4 PM. Similar fairs are planned to be scaled to other districts of Minsk.
