Former Policeman and "Evroopt" Security Guard Appointed Director of the Puppet Theater
Vyachaslau Leanenka, 49, was appointed director of the Belarusian State Puppet Theater — currently the most popular theater in the country — in April. As "Zerkalo" found out with the help of "Cyberpartisans", he is a former law enforcement officer, a police major, who previously worked in the security sector.

The position of theater director remained vacant since February of this year, after the dismissal of the previous head, Tatsiana Toustsik (the staff claimed she left voluntarily to return to teaching).
Vyachaslau Leanenka was listed as deputy director at the Puppet Theater since 2024. However, there was no information about him on the theater's website, nor has his biography appeared there now that Leanenka has been appointed director. There is no information about him in any open sources.
This is unusual for a person becoming the head of a major theater: as a rule, such positions are filled by cultural officials whose mentions are at least in the state press. At the same time, the lack of public information usually indicates a law enforcement background. We checked his data with the help of "Cyberpartisans" — the suspicions were confirmed.
Vyachaslau Leanenka graduated from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2001, worked in the capital's police force, and rose to the rank of major by 2008. In 2012, the 35-year-old policeman was dismissed from the position of senior expert-forensic scientist of the Zavodski District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk before the expiration of his contract by mutual agreement of the parties (circumstances are unknown). Immediately after that, Leanenka got a job at "Evrotorg" ("Evroopt" chain) in the security service and in 2015 became deputy head of security. In 2017, he moved to "Dobronom" ("Kopeecka," "Mayak," and "Dobronom" chains).
In November 2023, Leanenka suddenly became needed by the state again and started working in the Zavodski district organization of the public association "Belaya Rus" (now transformed into the main ruling party) in an unknown position. And just two months later, in January 2024, he was appointed deputy director of the Puppet Theater.
"Thank you, Lena! Continue your observation." The officer who wrote to Kharysavaya frequented political emigration chats, and even offered to exchange nudes with some girls.
