On the occasion of his anniversary, the US President ordered the installation of a temporary arena called "The Claw" directly in front of the White House, where fighters of mixed martial arts will compete in seven bouts, writes Bild.
More than 4,000 spectators are expected to watch the fights directly in the arena, while tens of thousands more will see them on giant screens in the adjacent park.
In the main event of the evening, champion Ilia Topuria will face fan favorite Justin Gaethje. Several other star fighters are also announced. More than $60 million has been spent on the organization and preparation of the large-scale event.
Although the White House emphasizes that UFC is covering the costs, several federal agencies had to provide significant assistance with planning and security.
Another gift for Trump could be the conclusion of a peace agreement with Iran.
According to Pakistan, which acts as a mediator, both sides have agreed on the main provisions of a framework agreement. The plan provides for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and measures to reduce Iran's nuclear program. In return, sanctions may be eased and Iran's assets unfrozen in the future.
