Paris is ready to facilitate their conduct. This was reported on Wednesday, January 21, by AFP agency with reference to a statement from the office of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The proposal appeared a few hours before US President Donald Trump's arrival in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum. There, the American leader is expected to once again raise the topic of acquiring Greenland, despite the disagreement of the island's residents, Denmark, and other European countries.
Since both the US and Denmark are members of NATO, the growing dispute "threatens a rift in the defense alliance."
