Danish PM: Strikes Deep into Russia Must Be Allowed, Because Russia Only Understands Force

During her speech at one of the discussions within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen openly called for the transfer of Western long-range weaponry to Ukraine and for granting permission for its unlimited use.

“Our problem in Ukraine is that there are still red lines regarding the use of Western weaponry. We cannot win the war if our hands are tied. Strikes deep into the territory of the Russian Federation must be allowed. We have been discussing this for several years already,” said Mette Frederiksen.

At the same time, she drew attention to the threat to NATO's unity, which stems from U.S. President Donald Trump's desire to take control of Danish Greenland:

“Anything that questions transatlantic relations or threatens allies undermines NATO.

In our history, we only had to invoke Article 5 once, and that was due to events in the U.S. The rest of the time, we were able to ensure freedom, democracy, prosperity, and wealth, relying solely on the wording of Article 5, because all our enemies know: if they attack us, they attack all of us.

Perhaps the most important thing we, as political leaders, ensure, is our unity. Therefore, to question transatlantic relations, threaten allies, or do anything that would undermine the idea of Article Five, would be a threat to all of us. So let's stick together,” stated the Danish Prime Minister.
