Belarusian woman with two children in Poland impressed by how many people responded to her story and helped. And thanks "Nasha Niva" readers very much

A few days ago, "Nasha Niva" told the story of Aliaksandra Kruk, a Belarusian woman — a mother of two girls who found herself in a difficult life situation and was forced to ask for help.

Aliaksandra left Belarus in 2021 — pregnant, with one child in her arms and one suitcase. In Poland, she started life from scratch: she gave birth to her second daughter, survived oncology, divorce, and a prolonged battle for alimony from her ex-husband.

Today she lives in Gdańsk and again found herself in a difficult situation: the apartment owners asked her to leave. Aliaksandra urgently needed to pay off her debts, find new housing, organize the move, and have at least some time to recover.

Many people responded to this call. Such a wave of support and solidarity deeply impressed and touched Aliaksandra. We publish her words of gratitude to the readers of "Nasha Niva".

"When the text was published, I didn't know what would happen next.

I was simply in a situation where you don't understand where you'll live tomorrow, how to pay for an apartment, and what to do if your health worsens. I asked for help and didn't know if anyone would respond.

They responded.

On the day my story was published, many people reposted it on Facebook, and help came from various sides. As a result, about 15,000 Polish zloty (12,000 Belarusian rubles or 3,500 euros — NN) were collected, and this is support from very many people.

The first thing I did was pay for a new apartment and fully settle up for the old one. This was the most important thing: to understand that we now have a roof over our heads.

But along with this, something else very important came — the opportunity to improve my health.

Now I am planning hospitalization. Previously, I refused because I had no choice: there was no one to leave the children with, and no understanding of where we would live, how, and on what, if I went to the hospital. Now this choice has appeared. And a girl was even found who is ready to come and live with my children while I am in the hospital. I will use the money remaining from the collection to rent housing for the duration of my treatment.

I really wanted to say the main thing.

I am very grateful to you.

For your care. For giving me the opportunity to recover and continue caring for my children. For the fact that now I can not only survive, but also breathe out a little.
