Belarus has changed its conceptual approaches to selecting winners for inscription on the Republican Board of Honor. The corresponding decree was signed by Alexander Lukashenka on June 15.

With the changes, the competition is intended to be made more open and to attract a wider range of organizations to participate. The government will develop a unified procedure for selection, and information about its start and conditions will be more widely disseminated.
From now on, state bodies will be able to propose organizations for participation in the competition themselves, without intermediaries. Also, the previous restriction, according to which winners could not be placed on the board of honor two years in a row, has been canceled.
The number of nominations will also increase: 14 new categories have appeared in the fields of production and services, which will allow recognizing the achievements of a greater number of organizations.
A new format for honoring winners will also be introduced — along with inscription on the Republican Board of Honor, they will be awarded a special honorary badge. It is also planned to more actively report on the experience and successes of the winners in state media.
