Lithuania supports the strengthening of sanctions against Belarus and Russia. This was stated by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, speaking with a traditional address in the Seimas.

"Our country also has no intention of showing complacency when national security interests are directly affected. Resolutely condemning Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, as well as hybrid attacks on Lithuania from the territory of Belarus, we firmly support international sanctions against these countries and advocate for their strengthening," he said.
"The hybrid war against Lithuania has been ongoing for many years, even decades. Significant funds are continuously allocated to it. And no concessions or good intentions will change this," noted the President of Lithuania.
"Because they hate us for daring to be free and independent. They hate us for loving our freedom and enjoying its benefits with dignity. They hate us for creating our own well-being, which all autocratic regimes, without exception, are incapable of doing. We see illegal migration directed against Lithuania. We see smugglers' balloons. We see acts of terror and sabotage. Every day we see an enormous amount of anger, outrage, propaganda, and disinformation spread on social media by faceless, soulless fake accounts," Nausėda added.
