A “modest” ceremony will be held in Istanbul.
Maria Sharapova, a Russian tennis player and a Slovenian basketball player Sasha Vujacic are going to get married on November 10 in Istanbul, Turkey. The ceremony is reported to be “modest”.
“I saw Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding ceremony. It was posh: millions of eyes around the world were looking at them. I liked Kate’s dress. However, I’m not eager to borrow something from them. I don’t think we will get married in an abbey. It is going to be much more modest and I would highlight the word ‘much’,” said Sharapova.
Maria Sharapova, 25, and Sasha Vujacic were engaged in October, 2010 and were planning to marry in summer, 2012, but the ceremony was postponed due to the to-be spouses tight schedule.
