Dzianis Maroz reported that, by Lukashenka's instruction, the Ministry of Energy has taken measures to limit the operating modes of heating systems during periods of severe frosts to ensure their reliability and prevent similar situations in the future.

Earlier, commenting on the accident, Lukashenka advised not to make the temperature in homes too high to preserve the heating system:

“Well, if the water in the pipes wasn't 90 degrees, but 80, and the pressure was lower, it would be a bit colder in the room. Not 25, but 20 degrees. That's enough in the house.”

Regarding the process of eliminating the accident on Minsk's heating networks, Maroz stated:

“At 17:21, the restoration of the water regime of the heating main was completed and circulation pumps were switched on to supply the heat carrier to the heating main. It can be said that the heat carrier is being supplied to the Minsk city system. Employees of the Ministry of Energy, emergency brigades, together with housing and communal services, are carrying out work to launch heating supply systems in homes. I am confident that in the very near future, heat will appear in all apartments in Minsk.”
