"Bryansk is under missile attack!" — "Don't put it out, it'll burn faster." Ukraine's Ministry of Defense goes dark in Threads

The official account of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine not only actively monitors messages from Russia on the social network Threads but also comments on them sharply. Caustic, cynical, and black humor-filled responses gather thousands of likes. We present the most notable examples of such trolling from recent days.

When, after the attack by Ukrainian drones on March 11 on the KuibyshevAzot plant in Tolyatti, local residents began to complain about an ecological catastrophe, the Ukrainian agency did not stay silent.

To the cry of one of the townspeople: "We are suffocating! After the attack on KuibyshevAzot in Tolyatti, people complain about toxic air!" The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ironically advised:

"This is the smell of freedom, enjoy it."

An even more alarming message about the release of combustion products of chemicals, from which rescuers end up in intensive care, and "the poison has no smell or color," met with an equally sharp reaction:

"A pleasant aroma with no overpayments."

As the fire at the enterprise raged even stronger, users began to complain about the silence of the authorities: "The fire continues for the fifth hour: the third workshop and a warehouse with chemical substances are burning. Residents near the enterprise complain of burning eyes and coughing after going outside. A pungent smell of smoke is felt in the air. But official comments are practically absent."

"Don't put it out, it will burn faster then," the Ministry of Defense gave sound advice.

Under a laconic post "AFU struck Bryansk. The target was the 'Kremniy' electronics factory," the editor of the Ukrainian MOD channel noted:

"Demilitarization, as ordered!"

One of Bryansk residents did not hide his emotions: "Bryansk is under a massive missile attack. Dozens of people were injured as a result of the missile shelling of the 'Kremniy' plant in Bryansk. (...) It's hell in Bryansk's local public groups. That's all, goodbye."

"This is not 'goodbye,' this is a fiery greeting!" they clarified in the comments under his post.

Another user published a photo with smoke over Bryansk and the caption: "Hundreds of people injured as a result of a massive missile attack on the 'Kremniy El' plant!"

The answer was maximally cynical:

"Well, isn't it beautiful."

Attempts by Bryansk residents to complain about "the hardest evening" and the inability to say "good morning" were met with an ironic:

"But everything is fine, why are you complaining?"

Those who tried to express solidarity with the affected regions also received a response. To the comment "Tula is with you," the Ministry of Defense replied with a direct promise:

"Well, since you're 'with us,' then we'll also take care of Tula."

The military also did not pass by sports news. Under an advertisement for the All-Russian Karate Competitions in Ryazan, which will take place on March 3-15, 2026, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine caustically warned:

"Thank you for the address. We hope as many spectators as possible will come."

Па заводу - выдатна. А каментары ад вайсковага міністэрства гэта дробязна, танная пацеха для плебса. Годнасць ваяра не давзваляе да такога апускацца.
