Only six children enrolled in the only Belarusian-language kindergarten group in Białystok
Preliminary results of recruitment for city kindergartens were announced in Białystok.

For kindergarten Przedszkole Samorządowe №14, the enrollment results were significantly lower than expected, reports Radio Racyja.
So far, only six children have enrolled in the Belarusian-language group. The kindergarten's director, Hanna Smyk-Kojla, says the situation causes great concern, as the future of the entire institution depends on the number of children:
— At the first stage of enrollment, 19 individuals were accepted. This is a small group, but it may be supplemented. At the time of enrollment, we had 52 places, and only 6 individuals of various ages out of those 19 enrolled in the Belarusian group. The city will not decide to liquidate due to insufficient child enrollment, but anything is possible.
Kindergarten Przedszkole Samorządowe №14 (Municipal Kindergarten) is the only municipal kindergarten in Białystok where groups with Belarusian as the language of instruction operate. That is why, according to the director, the results of this year's recruitment may be decisive for its future.
