Molotov cocktail thrown at OpenAI head Sam Altman's home

The attacker was apprehended. He also threatened to set fire to the company's main office in San Francisco.

The villa of OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman in San Francisco was attacked on Friday: a 20-year-old man threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture at it, causing the gate to catch fire, but no one was injured, local police reported.

The attacker fled but was later apprehended. He also threatened to set fire to the company's main office in San Francisco.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the suspect, identified as Alejandro Daniel Moreno-Gama, has been taken into custody. Police noted that the motive for his actions remains unclear.

Meanwhile, in recent times, OpenAI, known as the developer of the AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT, and its head Sam Altman have become targets of protests by opponents of artificial intelligence, who see this technology as a threat to humanity.
