"In the basement, on bare tiles." People outraged by animal keeping conditions in a contact zoo in Polotsk
"Let's start with the fact that the zoo is in the basement. And inside, the animals lie on cold, bare tiles. And there isn't a single cozy corner where the animals could hide, even for a short time, from light, noise, and annoying visitors. Of course, otherwise, they would earn less money," — Polotsk residents are outraged, where the 'Zveropolis' contact zoo has now stopped.

Teacher Yulia Perepech recorded a detailed review of the zoo, which will operate in their city until June 21.
Besides the poor living conditions, the girl notes that animals are uncontrollably fed high-calorie sweet treats. A raccoon, for example, is given marmalade, because 'he loves it'.
"It's terrible that most Polotsk bloggers rushed to advertise this contact zoo. Does it mean money doesn't stink?" — Yulia asks.
In photos by Yulia Perepech, one can see that the animals are indeed placed in cages and almost on a bare floor.
The 'Zveropolis' contact zoo has been operating for several years; it tours around Belarus, changing cities and venues for its next exhibition. For 16-18 rubles, visitors are offered to pet a raccoon, a fox, a peacock, a porcupine, a squirrel, and various reptiles.
Oksana from Mazyr is responsible for the animals in it, and she herself sees no problems with their keeping.
"Our feeds are certified, the animals are vaccinated, and examined by veterinarians. All conditions required by the Republic of Belarus for exhibitions are met," — she responds to critics.

Oksana suggested to a reader of 'Nasha Niva' to go to a kolkhoz (collective farm) and look at the animal keeping conditions there.
"And don't bother me, otherwise I will block you," — the woman was concise.
