New Ranking of the Most Popular Historical and Architectural Monuments in Belarus Published

A new ranking of the most popular historical and architectural monuments in Belarus has been published, compiled based on data on object visits by MTS company subscribers. The study covers the first five months of 2026 and shows which attractions in the country attract the most tourist attention, writes Blizko.by.

Lida Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Belarus, came in first place. Since the beginning of the year, it has been visited by over 19 thousand unique network users. In addition, the largest volume of mobile internet traffic was recorded here – about 9 terabytes, which indicates tourists' active use of smartphones for photography, video recording, and content sharing.

Second place was taken by the Khatyn Memorial Complex, which was visited by approximately 17 thousand people.

The Saints Boris and Gleb (Kalozha) Church in Grodno came in third, attracting about 16 thousand visitors.

According to analysts' calculations, all objects included in the top twenty leaders were visited by almost 200 thousand network users from January to May.

A particularly noticeable increase in tourist interest was noted for the Mikhail Kleofas Oginski Museum-Estate in Zalessie, Kosava Palace, Navahrudak Castle, and the Church of the Holy Trinity in Gervyaty, Astravets district. These sites demonstrated the best dynamics of visits compared to previous periods.

The most significant seasonal growth was recorded at Brest Fortress. While the number of visitors was relatively small in January, it almost tripled in May.

The mobile internet usage indicator was also interesting. Although Kamianets Tower is not among the most visited sites, it became a leader in terms of traffic volume per tourist. A total of about 7.3 terabytes of data was used there. This indicates that visitors actively take photos and videos and share them on social media.
