It is known that Siarheyeu graduated from the Kazan Tank School in Soviet times. After participating in the 2020 protests, he left Belarus with his family. According to propagandists, he joined the Kalinouski Regiment in Poland. After the report was released, his former comrade-in-arms Aliaksandr Klachko reported that the man had serious health problems.
According to Mayday Team, Andrei Siarheyeu was detained in August 2025 at the border crossing in Brest when he was leaving Belarus for Poland, where he worked as a long-haul truck driver. After his detention, a criminal case was opened against him, and he was placed in the pre-trial detention center in Kaliadzichy.
Approximately in February 2026, the investigation was completed, and the case was sent to court. The human rights defenders' source claims that Siarheyeu was accused of participating in hostilities on the territory of a foreign state and was also somehow linked to the so-called "Hayun case."
According to the Mayday Team's interlocutor, the man feared receiving such a long prison sentence that he might not leave the penal colony alive. How many years of imprisonment he was ultimately sentenced to is not yet known.
