Belarusians are already picking blueberries by the whole bidons

The blueberry picking season has opened in Belarus, and many fans of "quiet hunting" are already boasting about their "catches" on social networks. The first harvests are already being recorded in some regions of the country, despite the fact that the mass picking of these blue berries starts in early July, writes Times.by.

Threads user Alena said that blueberries are the only thing she is willing to walk in the forest for hours for. The girl attached a photo showing a 5-liter bidon and a small jug, filled to the brim with berries.

Commentators envied the productive "catch" and began to clarify the location. The answer was short: Mogilev region. The author of the discussion thread added that blueberries are already available in the Minsk region as well.

Of course, there were skeptics:

"We are in the forest almost every day, but I haven't seen ripe blueberries yet..."

"What nonsense, what blueberries in mid-June, don't mislead people."

Some users, in response to the photo of blueberries, sent pictures of fresh wild strawberries, which are also already appearing in Belarusian forests.

Olga showed the first blueberries in the forest near Mogilev. Her haul is a bit more modest.

But user mezenin_max was doubly lucky: he found not only blueberries but also chanterelle mushrooms.

Repost of Threads

"We went to the forest near our house today after lunch. It's dry, hot, there are chanterelles, but we had to look for a long time. There are berries, but they are still ripening. We were too lazy to go to a distant forest. Especially on a weekend. We need rain! 20.06.2026," the man said.
