Criminal investigation officers found out that the day before, a 42-year-old acquaintance from Barysaw had been visiting the woman. According to the victim, she invited her friend over because she was going through a difficult emotional period and wanted to talk.
During the conversation, the hostess showed the guest interior items, including a decorative box where money was kept. The man noticed this.
In the morning, when the woman went to the bathroom, he took advantage of the moment and stole 100 US dollars from the box, after which he went home. On the way, he exchanged part of the stolen amount at an exchange office.
Some time later, the man offered the Minsk resident to meet for lunch at a cafe. He paid for the lunch with the very money he had earlier stolen from the woman. The rest of the money he spent on personal needs.
Now, a criminal case has been initiated against the Barysaw resident for theft.
