Zyuganov proposed to confiscate 400 billion dollars from Russians to pay for "victory" in the war
KPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov, at the party's pre-election congress, proposed to confiscate funds from citizens and businesses held in banks to solve budget and economic problems.

"Today, 67 trillion of your money [$0.9 trillion — NN] lies in banks. 67 trillion and 63 trillion from enterprises [$0.85 trillion — NN]. A total of 130 trillion Russian rubles [$1.7 trillion]. This is three state budgets. They lie there and enrich bankers," Vedomosti quoted Zyuganov as saying. According to the communist leader, about 30 trillion rubles [$400 billion — NN] could be "immediately found."
"They are not invested in production, nor in anything — not even in victory. This problem can be solved quickly. And if I were the president, I would do it with a single decree; in wartime conditions, he has the right, he is the supreme commander-in-chief," Zyuganov added.
Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets, called Zyuganov's statements "a provocation" launched, according to him, from Ukraine or the West. "Making such statements simply like that is so irresponsible. Someone is deliberately using Zyuganov," the deputy said.
According to Aksakov, confiscating Russians' deposits "simply makes no sense."
