"Nashaya Niva" has learned about another war victim, 56-year-old Viktar Hryhoryeu. In 2020, this Vitebsk taxi driver demonstratively played Tsoi loudly at a gas station next to a police car, for which he was detained. And this is how his fate unfolded.

Viktar Hryhoryeu was born in Vitebsk and worked as a taxi driver. The only notable entry about him in the Belpol database is that in September 2020, Hryhoryeu was convicted under the popular Article 23.34.
After this, the Vitebsk resident was added to the 'BESporyadki' database. This is a database maintained by repressive authorities where politically disloyal Belarusians with a history of anti-Lukashenka activity are listed.
As "Nashaya Niva" additionally clarified, Hryhoryeu was specifically tried for demonstratively playing Tsoi loudly at a gas station at the moment a police car pulled up nearby.
Tsoi's song "Peramen" (Changes) became one of the unofficial anthems of protest against the dictatorship in 2020, as its meaning accurately reflected the widespread sentiment.

What led the already elderly Hryhoryeu to the front on Russia's side in 2026 — is unknown. But the fact is that he is now considered missing in action.
