Spanish premium wine vinegar has appeared in Minsk stores, the cost of which is more than a hundred times higher than usual. A liter of such product costs 229.95 rubles, and a 200-milliliter bottle costs 45.99 rubles, Tochka.by noted .

The vinegar is made in Spain from "Pedro Ximénez" grape variety and has been aged for 15 years. It also has a protected designation of origin, which confirms its connection to a specific production region.

For comparison, the cost of regular vinegar in Belarusian stores is approximately 2 to 3.7 rubles per liter.

Wine vinegar is widely used in cooking. It is added to salad dressings, marinades, sauces, and also used for preserving vegetables and fruits. It helps to make the taste of dishes more distinct and can tenderize meat during marinating.
However, experts remind that due to its high acidity, wine vinegar should be consumed in moderation. It can irritate the gastric mucosa, especially in people with gastritis or peptic ulcer disease, and can also cause allergic reactions in those who are intolerant to grapes or individual components of the product.
