Residents of an entrance of a house on Kosarava Street in Homiel, which was affected by a gas explosion in December 2025, received keys to their restored apartments and were able to return home, Belta reports .

The keys to the apartment owners were handed over by the head of the Savetski district administration of Homiel, Siarhei Andreyeu. Residents thanked the authorities and specialists for their help and support during the restoration work.
By this time, water supply, gas supply, and electricity supply in the house had been fully restored, all engineering systems had been technically checked, and the area had been cleaned.
The emergency occurred on December 17, 2025. As a result of a gas-air mixture flash in the ten-story building, ceilings between the sixth and eighth floors were damaged and partially collapsed, and the external wall of the building was also affected.
During the restoration, builders dismantled damaged structures, manufactured necessary elements for repair, installed new panels, and performed other construction works. After the completion of repairs, residents can once again use their apartments.
