Public activist Eliseev from Kalinkavichy sentenced to 10 years in prison
Alexander Eliseev, a public activist from Kalinkavichy, has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. The court found him guilty under articles related to treason against the state and insulting Alexander Lukashenka. The case was heard in a closed session, writes "Homel Spring".

While the verdict has not yet entered into force, Eliseev remains in pre-trial detention at Prison No. 4 in Mogilev. Details of the accusations have not been disclosed.
Alexander Eliseev is a public activist and former member of the United Civil Party. For many years, he participated in independent election observation, publicly criticized violations of the electoral process, and was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility. After the events of 2020, he was detained and arrested several times, including in 2022, when he held a hunger strike during one of his arrests.
According to human rights defenders, Eliseev was detained this time in 2025, and in November of the same year, he was recognized as a political prisoner. Due to the closed nature of the judicial process, the essence of the charges in his case remains unknown.
Eliseev worked in the aviation industry, graduated from the Kyiv International University of Civil Aviation, worked at aircraft manufacturing enterprises in Ukraine, and later in Belarus as a programmer. After his political activism in recent years, he did not have a normal job.
