Car fell off a cliff into the Neman River in Novogrudok district

The incident occurred near the village of Lyubcha. A group of friends came to the river bank to fish, but a strong thunderstorm began during their rest, writes BelTA.

To move the car further away from the water, the driver started to turn around, but on the ground soaked after the downpour, the car lost traction and began to slide off the cliff.

The driver managed to get out of the cabin in time and was not injured. The car itself completely submerged.

The owner sought help from the Grodno Regional Organization of the Water Rescue Society. Employees of the Lida rescue station quickly found the car and recovered it from the river using special equipment and diving gear.
