64-year-old woman in the USA poisoned herself, her daughter, and four grandchildren
A tragic incident occurred in June in the small town of Mechanicville, New York.

When police officers entered the home of 64-year-old Amy Steadman, they discovered six bodies. The deceased had been there for at least two weeks. Police found the bodies on June 23, but only recently released information about the case, Bild writes.
All the deceased were members of the same family. In addition to Steadman herself, the victims included her daughter Sarah Myers (44 years old) and Myers' four children: Harper (13 years old), Hudson (11 years old), and twins Gavin and Gracelynn Harman (both 10 years old).
Investigators also found a lot of evidence in the apartment indicating that it was the 64-year-old woman who killed her family.
At a press conference, Police Chief William Rabbit described the incident as intentional poisoning using large doses of both over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
A suicide note was also found.
The probable motive was a custody dispute with the children's father, who, according to People magazine, had recently been granted the right to see them for 60 days. Steadman may have wanted to prevent the children from being taken from her daughter.
