"There is a Real Prospect of Ending the War." Zelensky Made an Optimistic Statement After Conversation with Trump
The President of Ukraine held a telephone conversation with American leader Donald Trump. Following the discussion, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he sees a possibility of ending the war and announced a personal meeting at the upcoming NATO summit.

As reported Volodymyr Zelensky in his official Telegram channel, on July 4, US Independence Day, he called Donald Trump. According to the Ukrainian president, they had a "very good conversation."
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the United States for all the assistance provided, "from 'Javelins' and 'Patriots' to political support."
"We highly appreciate America's support for us in defending our independence," he added.
The main part of the message concerned the discussion of the front-line situation and diplomatic prospects.
"There is a real prospect of ending this war, and America's determination will be crucial," stated the Ukrainian president.
He also reported that he had agreed with Donald Trump to continue the conversation in person during the NATO summit, which will be held in Ankara.
"Thank you, America! Thank you, Mr. President!" — Zelensky concluded his post.
