The passion fruits that appeared in Minsk stores were imported directly from Colombia. The exotic fruit costs 29.99 rubles per kilogram.
Passion fruits usually have a round or oval shape and can be of various colors — from yellow to purple or even green. Inside the fruit, there is a jelly-like pulp with black seeds.
In this particular case, the passion fruit is purple, somewhat resembling an eggplant in color, but a lighter shade. By the way, a pleasant aroma emanates from it right from the shelf.
The taste is sweet and sour. The pulp has a bright, refreshing aroma and is often described as tropical, with notes of citrus and pineapple. Depending on the variety, the taste may vary.
The fruits are often used in cooking for making juices, desserts, ice cream, and cocktails. They can also be added to salads or consumed fresh.

Passion fruit is also not only tasty but also healthy: it is rich in vitamins (especially vitamin C), antioxidants, and fiber.
