Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated Péter Magyar, leader of the opposition Tisza Party, on his victory in the parliamentary elections.
Magyar himself reported the call on Facebook, whose party is winning by a large margin.
Orbán conceded defeat during his speech and confirmed that he had already congratulated Magyar. He called the election results clear, but painful.
With 53.45% of votes counted, the Tisza Party can expect two-thirds of the mandates.
