Agent Dan Milstein announced that Belarusian forward Vadim Moroz has agreed to a two-year contract with the "Utah Mammoth" team of the National Hockey League. His contract will be valid until the 2027/28 season, writes "Belarusian Hockey".

Vadim played for Dinamo Minsk since summer 2022. In the past KHL regular season, the 22-year-old hockey player played 54 matches and scored 29 (14+15) points with a plus-minus rating of +4. In the playoffs, he had 8 games and 2 (1+1) points with a plus-minus rating of +1.

At the 2023 NHL Draft, Moroz was selected by the "Arizona Coyotes" club (now "Utah") under the overall 88th number.

If Vadim plays for "Utah" and is not sent to a farm club, he could become the 22nd Belarusian in the strongest hockey league in the world since 1992.

His NHL salary will be one million dollars per year.

In April, Vitali Pinchuk signed a contract with the "Nashville Predators", but did not debut — the NHL season starts in October. In May of this year, Yegor Borikov signed a contract with "Utah", but, naturally, has not debuted yet either.

In the 2025-2026 season, eight Belarusians played in the NHL:

Alexei and Ilya Protas ("Washington"), Yegor Sharangovich ("Calgary"), Nikita Talapila ("Vancouver"), Alexei Kolosov ("Philadelphia"), Vladislav Kolyachonok ("Dallas"), Artyom Leushunov ("Chicago"), Ilya Solovyov ("Pittsburgh").
