After Iranian Attacks, Dubai's Famous "Sail Hotel" Closes for Renovation
Dubai's famous luxury hotel "Burj Al Arab", often called the "Sail Hotel", is closing for extended renovation. It is reported that it will not accept guests for almost a year and a half.

The hotel owners plan to undertake a large-scale renovation of the building to preserve it and improve it for future use. It is emphasized that this is a temporary closure, not a cessation of operations.
The hotel was affected in late February when the conflict between Iran, the USA, and Israel intensified in the region. At that time, debris from an Iranian drone caused a fire in the building. This occurred against the backdrop of military actions and mutual strikes in the Persian Gulf region.
Later, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates stated that they expect compensation from Iran for the damage caused to civilian objects.
The hotel's closure, however, is related not only to the consequences of the damage but also to plans for its modernization after more than 25 years of operation.
