The tax inspectorate filed for bankruptcy in February 2026. According to the case materials, the company's debt to the budget amounted to 8.1 thousand rubles. At the same time, the company had no assets, conducted no economic activity, and had been without a head since mid-2023.
During the insolvency proceedings, the anti-crisis manager discovered that the total debt to all creditors was approaching 75 thousand rubles. The only identified asset was a share in the company "Byuro," valued at only 72 rubles.
"Belarussky Sputnik" was the legal successor of the International Youth Tourism Bureau "Sputnik," established in 1958. In Soviet times, the organization was effectively a monopolist in the field of international and domestic youth tourism.
After the collapse of the USSR, the Belarusian side managed to retain control over the republican division, despite claims from Moscow. In the mid-1990s, the enterprise was transferred to the management of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
