«The worst in all of Belarus». Residents of Slonim criticized the district executive committee's response regarding the railway crossing
Residents of Slonim were dissatisfied with the official response from the district executive committee to a complaint about the condition of the railway crossing on Minsk Trakt street. In their opinion, officials did not understand the essence of the problem, because people asked not just to patch potholes with asphalt, but to completely replace the broken decking between the rails, writes BGmedia.

After a local resident called the crossing a «test stand for suspension» and drew attention to the use of modern rubber crossings in other cities, the district executive committee's chatbot reported that a standard pothole repair is planned here in August–September.
This response caused a new wave of indignation.
Residents of Slonim emphasize that patching holes will not solve the long-standing problem, and call the object the worst railway crossing in all of Belarus.
Drivers literally have to crawl to avoid damaging their cars, or drive into the oncoming lane to bypass a huge pothole, and motorcyclists sometimes even walk their vehicles by hand. Residents note the ineffectiveness of repeated patches, which quickly disintegrate, and melt on wheels in the heat.
In addition, people complain about prolonged traffic closures, when they have to wait at the barrier for 15–30 minutes even before a train appears.
As a result, citizens agree that instead of cosmetic repairs, a major reconstruction should be carried out, and the old concrete surface replaced with a modern rubber one. This is exactly what they demanded in their appeal, but in response, they received a solution of a completely different nature.
