Ministry of Health suspends operation of large private medical center "Lazar" in Baranavichy
It is currently impossible to book an appointment with a doctor at the private multidisciplinary medical center "Lazar". By phone, they say it is not working "due to technical reasons." But "Nasha Niva" has learned: the reason is inspections by the Ministry of Health.

There is no official information that the license of the "Lazar" medical center has been suspended or revoked. But people have not been able to get to specialists there for several days now.
Previously, potential clients were told to call back on July 12. Now they are talking about July 19 — but they sadly warn: it's not a fact that work will be resumed by then.
The "Lazar" medical center has been operating in Baranavichy since 2017. It was opened with fanfare: at the time, officials noted that thanks to the medical center, the city would be able to develop medical tourism. The 8-story building even provided for a hotel on the top two floors for the convenience of visiting patients.

Viktor Novik, the owner of the center and director of "Fares Group" company, then said that there was no medical center of a similar level in Belarus. And in the district newspaper, they wrote: "It is equipped with the most modern imported equipment. The dentistry is fully equipped. Visitors will be seen by an oncologist-mammologist, cardiologist, therapist, surgeon, ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, gynecologist, pediatrician. There are procedural rooms, an endoscopic room, and its own laboratory here."
By 2026, "Lazar" was already providing services in more than 20 medical areas.
After 2020, similar situations occurred repeatedly. The Ministry of Health suddenly paused the work of various private medical centers — from small and not very well-known to giants like "Lode". Not all of them were able to return to work.
